ASCO light alloy (Aluminium) solenoid valves range from 2/2 solenoid valves, both normally closed or normally open, to Pulse valves specifically designed to back-blast filter cartridges clean of dirt & dust. ASCO engineered plastic valves are similar in principal to the well established 320 series but offer the extra added benefit of material suitability for potentially corrosive or hazardous environments. Available as 3/2 Normally Closed or 3/2 Normally Open and available in ¼” ports with compression ends suitable for plastic or metal tubing. Common uses include dispensing, analytical water applications & even diagnostic equipment.

ASCO Steam solenoid valves cover a range of pressures and temperatures within the Superheated Steam, Saturated Steam and hot water applications. Max temp of +186°C can be catered for with the ASCO Steam solenoid valve range, as well as some for slightly easier duties at max temperature requirements of 150°C. Steam valves include 222, 262, 240 & 220 Series.

ASCO Namur (VDI/VDE 3845, ISO 5211) mounted valves directly mount to any Namur interface of the correct size, allowing air piloting local to the pneumatic device being operated, very commonly pneumatic actuators or pneumatic cylinders. Air is controlled through a Namur plate which is the direct interface between pilot valve and pneumatic actuator or air-operated valve. The ASCO E290 air-operated angle seat valve can be supplied with Namur plate adaptor to accept a Namur type 551/327 type solenoid valve. Body materials available are Aluminium, Brass & Stainless Steel.

ASCO Cryogenic solenoid valves are created to deal with the harsh temperatures of cryogenic fluids that reach extreme sub-zero levels. Liquid Oxygen (-183°C), liquid Argon (-186°C) & liquid Nitrogen, the most demanding service which can reach (-196°C), can all be controlled by one of our cryogenic solenoid valves. The 264 series is specifically designed for the high pressures of bottle discharge with a max pressure capability of 70 Bar and temps of (-60°C).

General purpose valves cover an enormous range of basic applications. If you want to simply control water, air, or inert Gas, this range of valves will have you covered. Brass and Stainless Steel body materials are available, as well as a varied selection of seal / diaphragm materials depending on media & application. Normally closed valves can be used in any fail safe applications, meaning that in the event of power failure, the solenoid valves will spring closed. Normally-open valves are also available to cater to the rare instance a pipeline needs to stay open in the event of loss of power. Some basic 3/2 valves are included in the general purpose range of ASCO valves and these can allow for piloting, diverting & mixing applications. Different seal & diaphragm materials are available to suit your application, but the standard elastomer offered on most of the standard valve ranges is NBR. The Asco Solenoid Valve general purpose range inlcudes the 238, 210, 262, 256, 356 & 320.

ASCO Gas solenoid valves are available as 2/2 solenoid valves with a normally-closed function. Basically, these operate as a small Gas safety valve and will close in the event of power failure. The 040 & 215 series of Gas valves are made from Aluminium, while the 030 & 262 series are available with a Brass body. Most of the Gas valves have a very low pressure capability, so please advise system pressures when enquiring. Asco Gas Valve Series includes 262, 030, 040, 215, 043, 044 & E290 with EG Prefix.

ASCO offer the 266 range of direct-operated, lever-type solenoid valves specifically for use with Heavy fuel oils. These come in two different construction types depending on specific application: FPM Soft seals as well as metal-to-metal seats are available, depending on media. ATEX solenoid coils available if the valve needs to operate in a hazardous area. The valves are made for use on fuel oil grade 2 & 4 as well as fuel oil grade 5 & 6 (heated).

Many ranges of ASCO valve can cope with hot water duty, but depending on how hot the maximum temperature gets,�the specific valve model to be chosen varies. Standard NBR seals can cope with water temps up to +85°C. EPDM increases the maximum temperature capability up to 150°C (3/8" to 3/4") & 130°C (1" to 1½"). Anything hotter and the Steam valve ranges should be used instead. Hot Water Valves include 238, 222, 210 & 220 Series.

Within the ASCO portfolio are valves suitable for use on Vacuum. This covers a large range of pipe sizes as well as different materials of construction; Brass, Aluminium & Stainless Steel are all available. These vacuum solenoid valves come in 3 different types depending on absolute vacuum range: Low vacuum, medium vacuum (With suffix VM) & high vacuum range (Using suffix VH). Asco Solenoid Valves Vacuum Series Valves include 262, 215, 030, 210, 287 & 387.

These solenoid valves carry WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approval for use on potable / drinking water. If you are in the building trade or even a plumber, most domestic water pipeline installations will most likely require a WRAS approved valve. The ASCO ranges available span across a few different valve types, chosen depending on specific applications. There are some specialist valves available with WRAS approval and latching DC coils, for use with a battery-powered auto-flush sensor (See WC Flushing Service Solenoid Valves). Wras Valve Series 210BM, 262BW, L133D, L160P03, L182D, L182D-BIG, L282D, L282D-BIG.

These are commonly found assisting the automatic flush of urinals & toilets in public buildings such as schools, pubs and restaurants in conjunction with a timer controller. Some are available in very low battery voltages and feature a latching coil for power saving. These valves can also be used in simple systems such as touchless taps, driven by a signal from a PIR sensor. Both the 262 & 210 series of these valves can be specified with 15mm compression fittings so most plumbers can install with minimal hassle.
