Coral Princess – Pneumatic Piston Actuated Ball Valves

Actuation Valve have recently supplied 2 pneumatically actuated ball valves for a high pressure fire protection system on board Coral Princess. Launched in 2002 the Coral Princess is owned and operated by Princess Cruises and along with its sister ship Island Princess are the only two Panamax liners within the group. The 2 1/2″ PN160 actuated ball valves were sourced from a high quality German manufacturer with all other components, assembly and testing provided in house from our specialist actuation team. In the event of a fire the valves are designed to open and allow water to reach relevant sprinkler systems on board the liner. All valves require manual closing upon system re-activation.
