Flanged Actuated Stainless Steel Ball Valve
Although flanged ends are used on quite small valves they are found most generally on the larger sizes of valves and used for practically all pressure-temperature ratings. The bolted form of connection between valve and piping facilitates installation of the valve in the line and is convenient should it be necessary to remove the valve for inspection or maintenance. When fitted on bronze valves the flanges usually have plain (flat) facings. Iron valves may have plain or raised facings and steel valves may have plain, raised, female, tongue, groove, or ring joint types of flanges.
