In 2004 Actuation Valve & Control received a 250K order for the new Type 45 Destroyers being built by the Ministry Of Defence. Working in conjunction with Several Contractors we supplied a sample package of Valves for a shock test by the Ministry Of Defence to imitate the forces that would applied to Units in the event of a Torpedo hit. With 70G vertical and 40G horizontal shock test applied over a prolonged period of time, the Units designed, assembled & tested by Actuation Valve & Control passed with Merit.

The Actuation Packages designed and built in house for the ships high pressure fire system contained products from several key manufacturers whom we represent in the UK, including the Starline Ball Valve. This is not the first time this product has been supplied to the Ministry Of Defence by Actuation Valve & Control but the first to be subject to shock testing. Previously these units have been developed and installed on both Bulwark and Albion Naval LPD’s now in service around the world.
