Mainly for use in highly corrosive environments and higher service temperatures the High Performance Wafer Pattern PTFE Butterfly Valve features a split body single Piece design with four flanged hole drillings for easy maintenance and installation between flanges at desired locations within the pipeline where weight and space saving is a priority. This TTV Butterfly Valve is suitable for both on and off or throttling applications.
Wafer Pattern concentric design features a non-toxic PTFE internal seal which also partially covers the outer body of the valve for perfect sealing with counter flanges. Thus avoiding any possibility of cross-contamination and providing a butterfly valve that is extremely resistant to chemicals and solvents with complete insolubility to 300°C.
A single piece shaft design brings high strength and stability with direct mount capabilities for actuation assemblies and ensures fluid is again isolated from both the shaft and the body of the butterfly valve. This also eliminates the need for a customised mounting assembly kit which can bring additional costs and time.
TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.
For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.
