Wafer Lever-Gear Bronze Disc Butterfly Valves

The TTV bronze disc carbon steel butterfly valve is particularly suited to the marine industry where process corrosion resistance is paramount. A rilsan coated body and stainless steel stem offers additional resistance to corrosion and seawater with soft seat material to suit a range of fluids and mediums. The TTV range of bronze disc butterfly valves come with approvals from recognised bodies such as DNV, ABS, LR and Bureau Veritas. The bronze disc valves are commonly used in oil and gas processing plants as well as marine. The quarter turn action offers quick opening or closing with ease of operation and the valve has good flow control characteristics. In the wide open position, the only obstruction to flow is that due to the thickness of the disk, so the pressure drop across the valve is small.

Key Features

Key features and benefits of the 50W3080 Wafer Pattern Butterfly Valves.
1

Key Features

Low operational torque reduces the costs of actuation with low friction contact extending the life of the self cleaning seal. Replaceable seals offer flexibility and cost effective solutions without the cost of a complete new valve. Reducing lead times and unnecessary downtime for End Users.
2

Key Features

A single piece shaft design brings high strength and engineering with direct mount capabilities for actuation assemblies. The “Dry Shaft” feature ensures fluid is again isolated from both the shaft and the body of the butterfly valve.

Frequently Asked Questions

These valves are ideal for the marine sector and oil & gas processing industries, where corrosion resistance and reliability in harsh environments are critical.

Bronze offers excellent resistance to seawater and corrosive media, making it perfect for marine and offshore applications.

The rilsan coating on the body enhances corrosion resistance, especially in salt-rich and aggressive environments, improving long-term durability.

Yes, these valves come with international approvals from DNV, ABS, LR, and Bureau Veritas, ensuring they meet marine and industrial standards.

Absolutely. The bronze disc and stainless steel stem, along with the rilsan-coated body, make them ideal for seawater applications.

Wafer-style valves are compact and easy to install between flanges, reducing space and weight requirements in piping systems.

These valves are available with manual lever, gear operator, or can be automated with pneumatic or electric actuators.

Yes. The valve offers good throttling and flow control, with minimal pressure drop when fully open due to the slim disc design.

The valves come with soft seat materials suitable for a range of fluids and process conditions, ensuring a tight shut-off.

A simple 90-degree turn opens or closes the valve, making operation quick and efficient, whether manual or automated.

They are generally suitable for low to medium pressure systems, particularly where corrosion protection is more important than high-pressure ratings.

Yes. The simple design allows for easy maintenance, with replaceable components such as seats and seals to extend the valve’s service life.
