The Colossus is a high performance grade butterfly valve with superior performance characteristics that makes it ideal for use in demanding environments where most other butterfly valves would not survive andÂhas been designed for use with both gasses and liquids. Due to the double offset movement, the rotation of the disc is eccentric over the seat. The rotational circular movement of the disc turns into an elliptical movement. So, the disc achieves just a few degrees contact with the seat before the valve is fully closed. The aluminium body of the actuator inside and outside is coated with hard anodizing, with extremely abrasion resistance, low surface roughness and optimal resistance.
