What to Send Us

To specify the right actuator and process your free issue enquiry efficiently, please have the following information ready. Items marked as essential are required for actuator sizing.

Starline valve series name and number (e.g. Master Star No. 3, Super Star No. 1, Mega Star No. 6, Split Star No. 7, Ultra Star No. 0) — confirms body design, bore type, and available mounting interface
Maximum operating pressure in psi — required for actuator torque calculation
Maximum differential pressure across the ball at operation
Required fail-safe position — fail-open or fail-closed (spring-return) or double-acting
Control signal or supply type — instrument air pressure (bar), electrical voltage, or analogue signal (4–20 mA)
Hazardous area classification — Zone, category, and gas group if ATEX-certified actuator or accessories are required
Required certifications — NACE MR-01-75, Firesafe (BS6755 Pt2 / API 607 Rev4), or project-specific requirements

Which Starline Valves Can We Actuate?

Master Star (No. 3) — 3-Piece Floating Ball Valve

Three-piece bolted body construction for in-line maintenance. Medium to low pressure range, primarily used in chemical, petroleum, and petrochemical industries.

Super Star (No. 1) — 3-Piece Floating Ball Valve

Three-piece bolted body in the medium pressure range, commonly specified in chemical, petrochemical, and petroleum service.

Mega Star (No. 6) — 3-Piece High-Pressure Floating Ball Valve

Three-piece bolted body in the high-pressure range, consistently specified for chemical, petrochemical, and gas industry applications where reliability at elevated pressure is paramount.

Split Star (No. 7) — 2-Piece Flanged Floating Ball Valve

Two-piece bolted body design for flanged-end applications. Full bore DN15–DN150 (½"–6"); reduced bore DN150–DN200 (6"–8"). Pressure class ASME 150 and 300LB, DIN PN10/16/25/40.

Standard Star (No. 2) — 3-Piece Floating Ball Valve

Entry-level three-piece floating ball valve for general industrial service at lower pressure ratings. Screwed, weld, and flanged end connections. Available in carbon steel and stainless steel. Sizes from ¼" upwards.

Threaded Star (T1) — Monobloc Floating Ball Valve

Compact, one-piece monobloc body in forged steel. Designed for small bore, high-cycle applications in instrumentation, sampling, and chemical injection service. Threaded end connections.

Metal Star (No. 4) — Metal-Seated Floating Ball Valve Designed specifically for abrasive service and high-temperature applications where soft seats are not suitable. Ball and seat coated with minimum 150 microns Tungsten Carbide or Chrome Carbide (up to 400 microns available). Sizes DN15–DN50 (½"–2") full bore and reduced bore. Pressure class ASME 150 to 600, DIN PN16 to 100. Temperature range up to 600°C. Stem material F51 to 400°C, Inconel 625 or Nitronit 50 for higher temperatures.

Cryo Star — Cryogenic Floating Ball Valve

Designed specifically to BS6364 for full tightness in medium and severe cryogenic service. Fully tested at -196°C. Extended stem length adapted to valve size per BS6364; thermal fins isolate stem seals from cold temperature.

Multi Star (No. 8 & 9) — 3-Way and 4-Way Multiport Ball Valves

Three-way and four-way multiport floating ball valves with T-bore, L-bore, X-bore, and vertical port configurations.

Ultra Star (No. 0) — Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves

Starline's trunnion-mounted design for large bore, high-pressure, and critical isolation service. Available ½" to 36" (DN15–DN900); ASME Class 150 to 2500; API 6A rated to 5,000 and 15,000 PSI.

Twin Star — Double Block and Bleed (DBB/SBB) Ball Valves

Twin ball floating and trunnion designs providing double block and bleed or single block and bleed isolation in a single valve body. Suitable for instrument isolation, pressure testing, pipeline isolation, and chemical injection.
