The service covers all current Tomoe butterfly valve types including the TT1 and TT2 triple offset valves, DBB1 and DBB2 double isolation valves, 304A/304Q and 334A/334Q double offset valves, the full 700G/704G/705G rubber-lined range and associated variants (773Z, 700Z, 731P/Q, 700E/K/S, 720F/722F, 71LG, KRV, 227P), the 846T/847T/847Q and 841T/842T PTFE-lined valves, and the 507V, 508V, and DTM control butterfly valves. If you have a Tomoe valve not listed here, contact us and we'll advise on suitability.
No. You supply the existing valve body — we supply the actuator package and carry out the fitment. The only exception is if an inspection on receipt reveals that the valve requires reconditioning before it is safe to automate, in which case we'll contact you before proceeding.
The valve should be cleaned, fully depressurised, and free from process medium. We carry out a condition inspection on receipt and will advise if any issues are found before proceeding with the actuator build.
Yes. The TT1 covers DN 50 to DN 1650 and ASME Class 150 to Class 2500, making it the widest-range valve in the Tomoe portfolio. The triple offset design and reduced dynamic torque characteristics make it well-suited to both on/off isolation and modulating control duty. Actuator sizing for Class 600 and above, temperatures above 400°C, or sizes above DN 600 requires specific torque data confirmation — please include the valve size, pressure class, operating differential pressure, and temperature when enquiring.
Yes. The DBB1 and DBB2 double isolation valves are actuation-ready but require careful sizing because the twin-seat arrangement produces different torque characteristics to a single-seat butterfly valve. We calculate actuator sizing specifically for the DBB configuration based on valve size, pressure class, and operating conditions. Please confirm the specific DBB model, size, and operating conditions when enquiring.
Yes. These valves are designed specifically for modulating service. The 507V accepts electric or pneumatic modulating actuation with a 4–20 mA positioner and covers temperatures to 400°C across Class 150 and 300. The DTM is pneumatically actuated as standard and is specifically engineered to handle high differential pressures with anti-cavitation characteristics. Please confirm the required control signal, air supply pressure, and operating differential pressure when enquiring.
Yes. The 700G and 704G are among the most straightforward Tomoe valves to actuate due to their low and consistent torque characteristics across the pressure/temperature range — a direct result of the patented cosine curve seat profile. Rack and pinion pneumatic or quarter-turn electric actuators are standard for this range. Please confirm the seat material, as torque varies between EPDM, NBR, FPM, and SEP seats and the sizing must reflect the actual seat type fitted.
Yes. Electric and pneumatic actuators are available for the 800 series PTFE/PFA-lined range. PTFE-seated valves typically require higher actuation torque than equivalent rubber-seated valves — particularly at low temperatures — and actuator sizing must account for this. Please confirm the operating temperature, seat type, and differential pressure when enquiring.
Yes. Where pneumatic actuation is preferred but proportional control is required — for example on a 507V, 508V, or double offset 304A/334A in a flow control application — a pneumatic positioner accepting a 4–20 mA signal can be included as part of the assembly. Please confirm the required control signal, air supply pressure, and whether a solenoid valve or volume booster is also required when enquiring.
Typical turnaround from receipt to return despatch is 5–10 working days for standard electric actuation on quarter-turn butterfly valve types. ATEX-specified assemblies, large-bore TT1 or DBB builds, high-pressure Class 600+ configurations, or modulating control packages may require longer depending on actuator availability. A confirmed lead time is given at the point of order.
Yes — batch submissions are welcome. Please include the valve model, size, seat type, and actuation requirements for each valve in your enquiry so we can confirm a combined schedule and, where applicable, batch pricing.
The actuator package and fitment work are covered by standard warranty terms. Full details are provided with your quotation and assembly documentation.
