What to Send Us

To specify the right actuator and process your free issue enquiry efficiently, please have the following information ready. Items marked as essential are required for actuator sizing.

Vanessa Valve part number (e.g. B6FX50, B10MX38, B6BLX50) — confirms series, bore size, connection type, and body material
Required fail-safe position — fail-open or fail-closed (spring-return) or double-acting
Hazardous area classification — Zone, category, and gas group if ATEX-certified actuator or accessories are required
Required certifications — NACE MR-01-75, Firesafe (BS6755 Pt2 / API 607 Rev4), or project-specific requirements
Maximum operating pressure in psi — required for actuator torque calculation
Maximum differential pressure across the ball at operation
Control signal or supply type — instrument air pressure (bar), electrical voltage, or analogue signal (4–20 mA)

Which Vanessa Valves Can We Actuate?

Series 30,000 — Standard (Basic) Configuration

Emerson's Vanessa Series 30,000 is widely recognised as the originating triple offset valve design and remains the benchmark for bidirectional zero-leakage metal-seated isolation and control. The triple offset geometry completely eliminates rubbing contact during the 90-degree rotation, meaning seating occurs by torque-generated radial compression of the seal ring against the seat — not by friction or mechanical interference.

Series 30,000 — Cryogenic Configuration

Vanessa's dedicated cryogenic variant of the Series 30,000, engineered for LNG liquefaction, storage and transport, air separation, cryogenic hydrocarbon distillation, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid hydrogen, and aerospace applications. Available from DN 80 to DN 1800 (NPS 3 to 72) in double flanged, lug, buttweld, and buttweld top-entry body styles. Pressure ratings ASME Class 150 to 900 and EN PN 10 to 160. Temperature range –254°C to +250°C — the lowest operating temperature of any Vanessa configuration.

Series 30,000 — Gaseous Oxygen (GOX) Service Configuration Vanessa's dedicated clean-service configuration for isolation and control in high-pressure gaseous oxygen applications, including air separation units and downstream GOX distribution systems to blast furnaces, chemical reactors, and industrial gas processes. Available in wafer, lug, and double flanged body styles from NPS 6 to NPS 24 (DN 150 to 600) in stainless steel at ASME Class 300 and PN 40, and in Monel at ASME Class 600 and 900.

Series 30,000 — High Pressure Configuration (ASME Class 600 / 900 / 1500) Where process conditions demand higher pressure classes, the Vanessa Series 30,000 is available in ASME Class 600, 900, and 1500 configurations.

Series 30,000 — Marine and Naval Configuration

Vanessa Series 30,000 valves configured for marine and naval duty provide the same triple offset, all-metal, inherently fire-safe construction in materials and builds suited to shipboard and offshore environments.
