Wafer Gear-Lever Operated Butterfly Valves

The TTV 20W3040 Butterfly Valve is by far the most versatile offering within the TTV range of concentric designs. Featuring a high quality CF8M stainless steel disc and rubber seat-liner the internal wetted materials offers resistance against a vast range of mediums and temperatures. A rilsan coated external ductile iron body also provides protection from general external weathering demands providing long lasting life expectancy. The 20W3040 Butterfly Valve come as standard with a lockable lever operator.

Key features and benefits of the 20W3040 Wafer Pattern Butterfly Valves.
1

Key Features

The wafer pattern butterfly valve is a general purpose solution that can be used for many applications. It features one piece body design body with four flanged hole drillings, which make it easy to maintain and install in pipeline locations at desired intervals or distance.
2

Key Features

A single piece shaft design brings high strength and engineering with direct mount capabilities for actuation assemblies. The “Dry Shaft” feature ensures fluid is again isolated from both the shaft and the body of the butterfly valve.

Frequent Interrogation

Yes. We have a number of options including chain wheel operators. They come as standard with a quick link chain connection and safety cable kit.

It certainly does. All of our TTV butterfly valves come complete with a full set of operations and maintenance manuals. We can also send this electronically in advance.

A wafer butterfly valve is designed to fit between two pipeline flanges and is held in place by flange bolts. It’s a compact, lightweight solution commonly used for isolation and flow control.

They are commonly available in ductile iron, cast iron, stainless steel, and sometimes aluminium bronze, with seat options like EPDM, NBR, or PTFE depending on the application.

They are cost-effective, space-saving, and easy to install. Their lightweight design makes them ideal for systems where weight and space are limited.

They are widely used in water systems, HVAC, general industrial processes, and low to medium pressure applications.

Yes — they provide reliable shut-off in many applications, but for dead-end service, lugged butterfly valves are usually the better option.

Gear-lever operation uses a gearbox (often with a handwheel) to open and close the valve. This reduces the effort needed, especially on larger valves or higher-pressure systems.

Yes — they can be used for both throttling and isolation, making them a versatile option for controlling as well as stopping flow.
Yes — it is suitable for water applications, provided the materials (such as the seat and body) are compatible with the specific water conditions.
