What to Send Us

To specify the right actuator and process your free issue enquiry efficiently, please have the following information ready. Items marked as essential are required for actuator sizing.

Mariani Valve part number (e.g. 461, 473, 475, 477, 479, L461) — confirms series, bore size, connection type, and body material
Maximum operating pressure in psi — required for actuator torque calculation
Maximum differential pressure across the ball at operation
Required fail-safe position — fail-open or fail-closed (spring-return) or double-acting
Control signal or supply type — instrument air pressure (bar), electrical voltage, or analogue signal (4–20 mA)
Hazardous area classification — Zone, category, and gas group if ATEX-certified actuator or accessories are required
Required certifications — NACE MR-01-75, Firesafe (BS6755 Pt2 / API 607 Rev4), or project-specific requirements

Which Mariani Valves Can We Actuate?

461 Series — Split Body Full Bore Ball Valve (Flanged)

Two-piece split body construction for ease of maintenance and internal access. Full bore design for unrestricted flow. Body material bronze. Size range DN15 to DN200 (½" to 8"). Working pressure 350 psi. End connections flanged to PN10, PN16, or ANSI 150. Suitable for potable water, waste water, sea water, cooling systems, oil, gas, air, and desalination. Particularly well suited to marine and offshore applications.

473 Series — Reduced Bore Ball Valve (Screwed)

Compact reduced bore valve for applications where full bore is not required and installation space is limited. Body material bronze. Size range DN15 to DN100 (½" to 4"). Working pressure 350 psi. Screwed end connections to BSP or NPT. Suitable for water, oil, gas, air, and cooling systems. Quarter-turn operation with ISO 5211 mounting pad for actuator fitment.

475 Series — Split Body Full Bore Ball Valve (Flanged)

High-performance split body, full bore ball valve for demanding industrial and marine applications requiring maximum flow efficiency and minimal pressure drop. Body material bronze. Size range DN15 to DN200 (½" to 8"). Working pressure 350 psi. Flanged end connections to PN10, PN16, or ANSI 150. Suitable for potable water, sea water, cooling, oil, gas, air, and desalination duty.

477 Series — Flanged Ball Valve

Flanged bronze ball valve for general industrial and marine service. Body material bronze. Size range DN15 to DN200 (½" to 8"). Working pressure 350 psi. Flanged connections to PN10, PN16, or ANSI 150. Suitable for potable water, waste water, sea water, cooling systems, oil, gas, and air. Direct mount actuator configuration available on appropriate sizes.

479 Series — Marine Trunnion Ball Valve (Flanged)

Engineered specifically for high-performance flow control in marine and offshore environments. Trunnion-mounted ball design provides enhanced stability and reduced operating torque compared to floating ball designs, making it particularly suitable for larger bore and higher pressure marine applications.

L461 Series — 2-Piece Full Bore Screwed Ball Valve

Two-piece body, full bore screwed ball valve in B62 bronze. End connections to BSPP, BSPT, or NPT as specified. Suitable for water, gas, air, and general industrial media. Size range DN15 to DN100 (½" to 4"). Quarter-turn operation with ISO 5211 direct mount facility for compact actuator packages.
