Lever-Gear Operated Butterfly Valves

This Lugged PTFE Seat Actuated Butterfly Valve is suitable for both end of line shut off isolation and predictive maintenance schedules without disrupting both sides of the process. The PTFE seat and CF8M disc offer a clean FDA approved contact surface with prolonged life expectancy. Higher temperatures are also achieved with this high performance butterfly valve. The split body design also provides replacement seat spares options when required. Polished discs are available on a short factory lead time.

Key features and benefits of the 40LP4040F0 Fully Lugged Type Butterfly Valves.
1

Key Features

The TTV PTFE Lined and PTFE Seat Actuated Butterfly Valves are mainly used for highly corrosive applications that require optimum material resistance as well as clean or food grade requirements. The TTV PTFE material is approved by FDA.
2

Key Features

The split body design on of the PTFE Seat and PTFE Lined Butterfly Valves allow for quick and easy future maintenance requirements. Two body bolts allow the construction to be split into two components with the solid seat design interchangeable within minutes.

Key Features

The complete PTFE Seat avoids any possibility of cross-contamination providing a butterfly valve that is extremely resistant to chemicals and solvents with complete insolubility to 300°C. For additional abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE also is available.

Top Notch.

All Butterfly Valves come as standard with a Top Notch Lock Plate. Adjustable at set degrees throughout the Valve travel cycle. Are your current supplies as good? We very much doubt it.

Frequent Interrogation

The valve is suitable for almost all chemical applications. Send in an email of pick up the phone. One of our super tech guys will check it over for you.

Great. That would be in our actuated butterfly valve section! Have a look over there or get us on 0151 547 1221. We have what you need.

It certainly does. All of our PTFE butterfly valves come complete with a full set of operations and maintenance manuals from the manufacturer.

A limit switch box can be fitted to the lever or gear box operator as an optional extra, providing remote indication of the valve's open and closed positions for control and monitoring systems.

The lugged, split body allows one side of the pipeline to be isolated and worked on without disturbing the other, making it well suited to predictive maintenance schedules and end-of-line shut-off duties where full pipe disassembly is impractical.

This lugged PTFE seat valve is available with PTFE, PFA or UHMWPE coated discs, as well as uncoated stainless steel (CF8M) or duplex options, allowing the disc material to be matched to the specific chemical and abrasion resistance needed for your process.

This valve is available across a DN32 to DN300 (1¼" to 12") size range, with a maximum operating temperature of 200°C and a PN10/16 ANSI 150 pressure rating, covering the great majority of process pipeline applications.

Yes. The PTFE seat is FDA approved and provides a clean, non-toxic contact surface suitable for food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other consumer health applications, while resisting a wide range of chemicals and solvents up to 300°C.

The valve is manufactured to ISO 5752 Series 20, BS 5155 and DIN 3202 Part 3 face-to-face standards, with pressure testing to EN 12266-1, DIN 3230, BS 6755 and ISO 5208, and connections to PN10/16, ANSI 150, ISO 705, DIN 2501 and BS 4504.

Collections are welcomed. Give us a call in advance and we can get you a time that suits.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

Wafer Pattern concentric design features a non-toxic PTFE internal seal which also partially covers the outer body of the valve for perfect sealing with counter flanges. Thus avoiding any possibility of cross-contamination and providing a butterfly valve that is extremely resistant to chemicals and solvents with complete insolubility to 300°C.

Engineered Shaft Design

A single piece shaft design brings high strength and stability with direct mount capabilities for actuation assemblies and ensures fluid is again isolated from both the shaft and the body of the butterfly valve. This also eliminates the need for a customised mounting assembly kit which can bring additional costs and time.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.

For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.

Less space, results in less material, bringing significantly lower costs in the process. As part of Isolation applications, our valves can be fully open or fully closed with quarter turn movement (90 Degrees) of the functioning lever or actuator. When closed, the reliable seal and disc can provide 100% leak tight downstream shutoff and low-pressure loss across the valve when opened through a streamlined, energy saving metallic disc. These types of valves can also be used to regulate flow pressure or temperature through a multi-position lockable lever or 4-20mA 3-15 psi control.

Actuated Butterfly Valves are available in both pneumatic and electric operation and can be beneficial for use in remotely accessed areas, valves that require larger torque figures to operate, timing or synchronisation and reliability. Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valves provide the quickest form of operational control for open/close functionality and are available in both double acting and spring return units with either direct/solenoid operation. Spring Return units can be set up in a fail-safe closed mode for critical lines were the Valve will return to the closed position upon the event of power failure through the loaded springs. Fail-safe open Valves are also available upon request.
