How do manifolds work?
HNL Minifolds act as compact distribution blocks designed to split or direct pneumatic or fluid pressure from a single inlet to multiple outlets. Each Minifold features one or more inlet ports and a series of outlet ports—typically 5, 10, or even 20—allowing for the efficient connection of multiple instruments, valves, or pressure switches from a single source.
Inside the robust aluminium body, the internal bore provides a common flow path, allowing pressure to be evenly distributed across all outlets. Depending on the model, outlet ports are either threaded (e.g., 1/4” or 3/8”) or push-in type, making installation quick and straightforward. Users simply connect their tubing or fittings to each outlet, ensuring a secure, sealed connection using compression nuts or threaded adapters.
Where are they used?
HNL Minifolds are widely used across a range of industrial and commercial applications where precise pressure control and efficient distribution are essential. Their compact design and robust aluminium construction make them ideal for installations where space is limited and reliability is critical.
Common areas of use include process control systems, the food and beverage iundustry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical & petrochemical plants and general industrial automation.
