PTFE Seat Lugged Koei UNIC Actuated Butterfly Valves

The compact and corrosion resistant TTV PTFE Butterfly Valves design provides high flow capacity with a non toxic PTFE liner, providing resistance to aggressive fluids such as acids, alkalis, solvents and most industrial chemicals. The Koei UNIC Electric Actuator provides a vibration resistant and shock absorbent solution for the most compact product on today's market. This actuator will give you smooth operations throughout its entire speed range in high-shock environments. Lugged Butterfly Valves are used to control the flow of fluids in a piping system. They have threaded inserts on both sides. The lugged design of these valves is great because it allows you to easily disconnect either side of the piping system without having to remove the valve itself.

Key features and benefits of the 20WP4040F0EK Actuated Butterfly Valves.
1

Key Features

Lugged Butterfly Valves are commonly used in piping systems as a dead end service Valve or where regular/predicted disconnecting of the pipe on either side may need to be removed for maintenance and installation without disruption to both sides of the line.
2

Key Features

The PTFE Seat or PTFE Lined Butterfly Valves satisfy the requirements for a reliable shut off performance on highly corrosive and aggressive process mediums. They are suitable for use on liquids, slurries and bulk solids.
3

Key Features

The Koei UNIC actuator has an accurate position indicator that allows you to see if your valve or damper is in open or closed position. The window on top protects it from general industrial applications, making this actuator more reliable for many different industries.

Frequent Interrogation

A PTFE Seat Lugged Koei UNIC Actuated Butterfly Valve is a high-performance isolation valve fitted with a PTFE-lined seat and powered by a Koei UNIC electric actuator. The lugged body allows secure installation between flanges, while the PTFE seat delivers excellent chemical resistance.

They are ideal for chemical processing, water treatment, pharmaceutical systems, and any application where corrosion resistance, clean operation, and reliable electric actuation are required.

PTFE provides exceptional chemical resistance, low friction, and a non-contaminating sealing surface. This makes the valve suitable for aggressive media, high-purity processes, and systems requiring low torque operation.

The fully lugged body allows the valve to be installed in dead-end service, offers strong pipeline support, and enables easier maintenance or removal without disrupting the full line.

Koei UNIC actuators are built in Japan with robust engineering, manual override, long-life components, and a protective enamel finish. They provide smooth, precise operation and dependable performance across a wide temperature range.

Yes. The Koei UNIC actuator can be supplied for standard on/off duty or fitted with control accessories for accurate modulating service, depending on system requirements.

Absolutely. The PTFE seat and disc lining options make the valve suitable for corrosive chemicals, solvents, and clean-process applications where material compatibility is essential.

Typical materials include ductile iron, stainless steel, or other corrosion-resistant alloys, combined with a PTFE seat for maximum chemical resistance and sealing performance.

Yes. Depending on the actuator model, the system can be configured to move to a pre-set safe position on power loss using options such as spring return mechanisms or battery-backed units.

Yes. Koei UNIC actuators support a wide range of control signals and can be fitted with position feedback, limit switches, and communication modules, making them fully compatible with modern PLC, SCADA, and process automation setups.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

This wafer-pattern concentric butterfly valve uses a non-toxic PTFE sealing surface that also extends across part of the outer body, ensuring a tight, reliable seal against mating flanges. This design eliminates the risk of cross-contamination and offers exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals and solvents, remaining completely insoluble up to 300°C. While engineered as a butterfly valve, its sealing performance is comparable to what you’d expect from premium ball valves used in critical process applications.

Engineered Shaft Design

The single-piece shaft design delivers exceptional strength and stability while allowing direct mounting of actuation assemblies. This construction keeps the process fluid fully isolated from both the shaft and the body of the butterfly valve, enhancing reliability and service life. By removing the need for a customised mounting kit, it also cuts down on extra cost and installation time — a level of efficiency often associated with high-quality ball valves in demanding applications.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.

For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.

Less space, results in less material, bringing significantly lower costs in the process. As part of Isolation applications, our valves can be fully open or fully closed with quarter turn movement (90 Degrees) of the functioning lever or actuator. When closed, the reliable seal and disc can provide 100% leak tight downstream shutoff and low-pressure loss across the valve when opened through a streamlined, energy saving metallic disc. These types of valves can also be used to regulate flow pressure or temperature through a multi-position lockable lever or 4-20mA 3-15 psi control.

Actuated Butterfly Valves are available in both pneumatic and electric operation and can be beneficial for use in remotely accessed areas, valves that require larger torque figures to operate, timing or synchronisation and reliability. Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valves provide the quickest form of operational control for open/close functionality and are available in both double acting and spring return units with either direct/solenoid operation. Spring Return units can be set up in a fail-safe closed mode for critical lines were the Valve will return to the closed position upon the event of power failure through the loaded springs. Fail-safe open Valves are also available upon request.

Fail-Safe Battery Backup

Fail-Safe Battery Backup is available for this product. In the event of a possible power failure the Actuator will return the Valve to a desired position. Ideal for critical line applications where safety is paramount. Will need some additional details from you.
