Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space
TTV butterfly valves are engineered with an advanced disc geometry that delivers a higher flow coefficient (Cv) than many conventional butterfly valve designs. This improved flow efficiency reduces pressure loss across the valve, helping to lower energy consumption within the system. At the same time, a dependable bi-directional seal is maintained in the closed position, ensuring tight shut-off with zero leakage. Reduced friction at the sealing interface results in lower operating torque, allowing the use of smaller and more economical gearboxes, pneumatic actuators, or electric actuators, while also extending the service life of the valve seat. Sealing integrity is supported by a durable silicone-based elastomer gasket.
Where increased resistance to wear is required, an optional UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene) lining can be specified, providing enhanced protection in abrasive service conditions for this butterfly valve range.
Actuated butterfly valves are available with either pneumatic or electric actuation, making them well suited to remote installations, applications requiring higher operating torque, or systems where timing, synchronisation, and reliability are critical. Pneumatic actuation offers rapid open/close response and is available in both double-acting and spring-return configurations, with direct or solenoid control options. Spring-return actuators can be configured to fail closed for critical services, automatically returning the valve to a safe position in the event of power or air failure. Fail-open configurations are also available where required.
