The Pepperl+Fuchs KCD2-STC-Ex1 is a 1-channel isolated barrier designed to power and interface SMART transmitters in hazardous area applications. It enables safe and reliable signal transmission from Ex zones to safe areas while maintaining full galvanic isolation between input, output, and power supply circuits.
Designed for flexibility, the KCD2-STC-Ex1 supports both 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters, as well as 2-wire SMART current sources. It converts field signals into a standard analogue output, ensuring seamless integration with PLC and DCS control systems.
