The Pepperl+Fuchs KFD2-STC4-Ex2 is a dual-channel isolated barrier designed to power and interface SMART transmitters in hazardous area applications. It enables safe and reliable signal transmission from Ex zones to safe areas while maintaining full galvanic isolation between input, output, and power supply circuits.
Powered via a 24 V DC supply using the Pepperl+Fuchs Power Rail system, the KFD2-STC4-Ex2 allows efficient cabinet installation and reduced wiring complexity. It supports 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters as well as 2-wire SMART current sources, offering flexible integration across a wide range of process automation systems.
With a 0/4 mA to 20 mA output per channel, this module ensures accurate signal transfer to PLCs and DCS systems. Its dual-channel design improves panel efficiency, making it ideal for oil & gas, chemical processing, and other hazardous environments requiring intrinsically safe signal conditioning.
