The Pepperl+Fuchs KFD2-STC5-Ex2 is a dual-channel isolated barrier designed to power and interface SMART transmitters in hazardous area applications. It enables safe and reliable signal transmission from Ex zones to safe areas while maintaining full galvanic isolation between input, output, and power supply circuits.
Powered via a 24 V DC supply using the Pepperl+Fuchs Power Rail system, the KFD2-STC5-Ex2 allows efficient installation with reduced wiring complexity. It supports both 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters, as well as 2-wire SMART current sources, providing flexible integration across a wide range of process control systems.
