Stainless Steel Lugged PTFE Actuated Butterfly Valves

With lugged butterfly valves If one side needs repair, you can simply disconnect it from the piping system and leave the other side connected until repairs are complete. This makes maintenance easier and faster compared to wafer pattern butterfly valves. They make a perfect choice for applications where you need to be able to disconnect the piping from either side of the valve. These lugged connect style butterfly valves feature a built in alignment guide through its bolt holes on both sides. Our Actreg pneumatic actuators combine quality materials that have been designed and engineered for many years of reliable valve operation service. Optional coatings and material combinations include epoxy painting, SS 304/316 stem adaptors and hard anodised ENP body and end caps.

Frequent Interrogation

These valves are ideal for corrosive or high-purity applications, including chemical processing, water treatment, and food or pharmaceutical systems. The stainless steel body provides mechanical strength and durability, while the PTFE lining protects against aggressive media.

The lugged pattern allows the valve to be installed between flanges using bolts threaded directly into the valve body. This design makes it suitable for end-of-line service, easy removal from pipelines, and improved alignment during installation.

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) offers outstanding chemical resistance and a smooth, non-stick surface that reduces friction and prevents contamination. It ensures tight sealing performance, even in demanding environments involving acids, solvents, or clean processes.

Yes. Stainless Steel Lugged PTFE Butterfly Valves are designed for pneumatic or electric actuation, providing fast, reliable, and precise flow control. They can be fitted with actuators from leading brands to suit both on/off and modulating applications.

These valves combine the corrosion resistance of PTFE, the strength of stainless steel, and the versatility of the lugged design. The result is a robust, low-maintenance valve that ensures long-lasting performance, hygienic operation, and easy integration into automated systems.

Actreg pneumatic actuators are known for their reliability, compact design, and consistent torque output. Using a rack and pinion mechanism, they deliver smooth, precise operation and can be configured for either spring return or double acting control. Actreg’s engineering ensures long service life with minimal maintenance, even in demanding environments.

The PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) lining provides a non-stick, chemically inert barrier that protects the stainless steel body and valve disc from aggressive media. This lining ensures leak-tight sealing, smooth operation, and prevents media build-up, making it ideal for clean and corrosive process lines.

The lugged configuration allows bolts to be threaded directly into the valve body, enabling the valve to be easily removed from one side of the pipeline without disturbing the other. This design supports end-of-line isolation, easier maintenance, and improved alignment during installation, especially in confined or high-pressure systems.

Combining a stainless steel PTFE-lined butterfly valve with an Actreg pneumatic actuator delivers robust, automated flow control with high chemical resistance, reliable sealing, and long-term durability. The system provides quick operation, low torque requirements, and compatibility with positioners, solenoids, and limit switch boxes for full process automation.

Yes. Both the stainless steel construction and Actreg actuator options can be specified for corrosive or ATEX-rated environments, ensuring safe and dependable operation in chemical plants, marine applications, and industrial process systems.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

The wafer-style concentric design incorporates a non-toxic PTFE seal that lines the interior and extends slightly over the valve body, ensuring a tight, reliable seal against mating flanges. This construction eliminates any risk of cross-contamination while offering outstanding resistance to aggressive chemicals and solvents, maintaining full integrity and insolubility even at temperatures up to 300°C.

Engineered Shaft Design

The one-piece shaft design delivers exceptional strength and stability while allowing direct actuator mounting for seamless automation. It keeps the process fluid fully isolated from both the shaft and valve body, removing the need for a separate mounting kit and helping to reduce installation time and overall project costs.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.

For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.

Less space, results in less material, bringing significantly lower costs in the process. As part of Isolation applications, our valves can be fully open or fully closed with quarter turn movement (90 Degrees) of the functioning lever or actuator. When closed, the reliable seal and disc can provide 100% leak tight downstream shutoff and low-pressure loss across the valve when opened through a streamlined, energy saving metallic disc. These types of valves can also be used to regulate flow pressure or temperature through a multi-position lockable lever or 4-20mA 3-15 psi control.

Actuated Butterfly Valves are available in both pneumatic and electric operation and can be beneficial for use in remotely accessed areas, valves that require larger torque figures to operate, timing or synchronisation and reliability. Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valves provide the quickest form of operational control for open/close functionality and are available in both double acting and spring return units with either direct/solenoid operation. Spring Return units can be set up in a fail-safe closed mode for critical lines were the Valve will return to the closed position upon the event of power failure through the loaded springs. Fail-safe open Valves are also available upon request.
