Stainless Steel Lugged PTFE Lug Elomatic Butterfly Valves

The TTV Stainless Steel Actuated PTFE Butterfly Valves provide a very similar corrosion resistance to that of the standard valve, while also providing external protection where chemicals may be present or there's potential for them in your wash down requirements. The EL-O-Matic F Series are available with a SIL 3 rating approval from TÜV, which means that this actuator can be used in safety critical systems without having to consider the consequences if it fails. The “Dry Shaft” feature ensures fluid is again isolated from both the shaft and the body of the butterfly valve.

Key features and benefits of the 40LP4040F0TEL Actuated Butterfly Valves.
1

Key Features

TTV's PTFE stainless steel butterfly valves offer reliable protection for your most demanding applications. These versatile pieces of equipment can be used both externally and internally, in environments where extreme corrosion is expected or required.
2

Key Features

Lug valves are a great way to make repairs in the field easy. They have threaded inserts at both sides of their body, which means you can install them with no nuts. If one side needs servicing all you need do is detach whichever suits best.
3

Key Features

Tested to function properly after just 1,000 hours of salt spray testing (C5 Medium). This is an accelerated test that puts the product under conditions much harsher than those it would normally encounter during its average use cycle.

Actuated Valve Testing & Calibration

All actuated valve assemblies are fully tested and calibrated in house prior to packing and shipping from our expert team of technical engineers. This means that when they arrive at site, you're immediately ready to install and get your production back up and running.

4-20mA Control Available On This Product

The BLX V100E Series is an Electro-Pneumatic control unit that allows the Actuator to incrementally adjust the Valve's position between the fully open and closed cycle. Product variants are available for spring return and double acting setups with feedback and safety settings. Ask our team today about how the V100E can help with your process requirements.

Frequent Interrogation

It is a stainless steel butterfly valve with a lugged body design and a PTFE liner for chemical resistance, fitted with an Elomatic pneumatic actuator for automated quarter-turn operation. This combination provides reliable isolation and control in demanding industrial environments.

PTFE lining offers excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals, acids, and solvents while remaining non-reactive and non-contaminating. It also helps prevent corrosion and product build-up, extending valve service life.

Stainless steel provides high strength, corrosion resistance, and durability, making it suitable for harsh environments. When paired with PTFE lining, it offers both internal chemical protection and external environmental resistance.

The lugged body allows the valve to be bolted to each flange independently, enabling end-of-line service and easier maintenance. This design provides greater installation flexibility compared to wafer-pattern butterfly valves.

Elomatic pneumatic actuators deliver reliable torque output, fast response times, and long operating life. Their compact rack-and-pinion design makes them well suited for automated butterfly valve applications.

Yes. The PTFE lining provides excellent chemical resistance, making these valves suitable for handling corrosive fluids, solvents, and aggressive process media commonly found in chemical and industrial applications.

Yes. When fitted with a suitable positioner, stainless steel PTFE-lined Elomatic butterfly valves can be used for modulating duties as well as standard open/close isolation.

PTFE linings typically operate up to around 180°C, depending on pressure and service conditions. The stainless steel body maintains stability under thermal cycling for consistent performance.

Yes. Elomatic actuators are available in spring-return configurations, allowing the valve to fail open or fail closed in the event of air supply loss, depending on application requirements.

These valves are widely used in chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, food and beverage production, and general industrial flow control where corrosion resistance and automation are required.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

The valve is built around a concentric wafer-style layout that incorporates a non-toxic PTFE liner extending beyond the flow bore and onto sections of the valve body. This ensures a consistent, leak-tight interface with mating flanges, removing any risk of media contamination. The result is a butterfly valve that offers outstanding resistance to aggressive chemicals and solvents, remaining chemically stable and unaffected at temperatures of up to 300 °C.

Engineered Shaft Design

The integrated one-piece shaft delivers superior mechanical integrity and stability, facilitating direct actuator mounting. By isolating the process media from the shaft and valve body, this design eliminates the need for specialised mounting kits, effectively lowering costs and simplifying the installation process.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

High-Efficiency Flow Control & Isolation

Engineered with a high-flow disc profile, these units achieve a superior flow coefficient Cv compared to standard industry designs. This optimisation minimises parasitic pressure loss and lowers system-wide energy consumption without compromising shutoff integrity. Even under high-pressure differentials, the bi-directional architecture ensures a bubble-tight, leak-proof seal.

Automated System Reliability

For high-torque or remote-access requirements, our valves integrate seamlessly with both electric and pneumatic drivers.

  • Pneumatic Solutions: These offer the fastest cycle times and are available in double-acting or spring-return formats.

  • Fail-Safe Security: In the event of a power or air loss, spring-return models provide critical safety by automatically resetting to a "normally closed" or "normally open" state, protecting downstream assets from uncontrolled flow.
