PTFE Seat Elomatic Actuated Pneumatic Butterfly Valves

The TTV PTFE range of butterfly valves feature a state of the art design from years of research and development with corrosive and aggressive chemical manufacturers as well as food and beverage. The bubble tight shutoff provides complete isolation when you need it most. EL-O-Matic have built an easy-to-use, modular air spring system that that allows for simple spring or action changes on site by the end user without the need of sending the actuator back. This can be useful if wanting to move the Actuator to another valve or scheduled maintenance. Hand-polished, streamlined discs produce a much greater CV than other butterfly valves on the market which leads to low pressure drops and reduced energy costs. In addition they maintain a bi-directional bubble tight seal in their closed position.

Key Features

Key features and benefits of the 20WP4040F0TEL Actuated Butterfly Valves.
1

Key Features

Mainly for use in highly corrosive environments and higher service temperatures the High Performance Wafer Pattern PTFE Butterfly Valve features a non-toxic PTFE internal seal which also partially covers the outer body of the valve for perfect sealing with counter flanges.
2

Key Features

The quarter turn action offers quick opening or closing with ease of operation and the valve has good flow control characteristics. In the wide open position, the only obstruction to flow is that due to the thickness of the disk, so the pressure drop across the valve is small.
3

Key Features

Actuators have passed salt spray test for 1,000 hours without any damage to its functions. This means that our products can be used in harsh environments for a longer period of time than other manufacturers products.

Actuated Valve Testing & Calibration

All actuated valve assemblies are fully tested and calibrated in house prior to packing and shipping from our expert team of technical engineers. This means that when they arrive at site, you're immediately ready to install and get your production back up and running.

4-20mA Control Available On This Product

The BLX V100E Series is an Electro-Pneumatic control unit that allows the Actuator to incrementally adjust the Valve's position between the fully open and closed cycle. Product variants are available for spring return and double acting setups with feedback and safety settings. Ask our team today about how the V100E can help with your process requirements.

Frequent Interrogation

Elomatic actuators provide consistent, balanced torque with smooth quarter-turn operation, ensuring the PTFE-seat maintains tight sealing even when pressures fluctuate or the valve cycles frequently.

PTFE offers outstanding chemical resistance, low friction, and a clean, non-contaminating sealing surface — making it ideal for corrosive media, aggressive chemicals, and process applications that demand purity.

Yes. Pneumatic actuation is well-suited to high-frequency cycling, and the PTFE seat’s low friction properties help reduce wear during repeated open/close operations.

Air-driven actuation delivers rapid response times, strong torque output, and safe operation in hazardous areas — without electrical components near the process line.

Yes. Both configurations are available. Double-acting offers the most efficient air use, while spring-return provides failsafe positioning for emergency scenarios.

PTFE seats maintain their chemical resistance and sealing integrity across a wide temperature range. With the right body and disc materials, the valve can be used in hot or thermally demanding systems.

While primarily an isolation valve, the smooth movement and torque stability of Elomatic pneumatic actuators allow for controlled, predictable throttling when required.

Yes. Solenoid valves, positioners, speed controllers, and switchboxes can all be mounted directly using ISO-standard interfaces on the Elomatic actuator.

PTFE’s low-friction properties significantly reduce seat abrasion, giving the valve long service life even in systems with high cycling or intermittent flow conditions.

PTFE’s non-contaminating, non-stick surface makes the valve well-suited for clean-process lines where product purity is essential, such as pharmaceuticals, water treatment, and general process systems.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

The wafer-pattern concentric design uses a non-toxic PTFE sealing surface that extends across the internal bore and partially over the body, helping these butterfly valves achieve a secure, uniform seal against mating flanges. This construction eliminates the risk of cross-contamination while delivering exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals and solvents, with PTFE remaining completely insoluble even up to 300°C.

Engineered Shaft Design

The one-piece shaft design provides excellent rigidity and alignment, allowing actuators to mount directly without additional hardware. It also keeps the process media completely separated from both the shaft and the butterfly valve body, removing the need for customised mounting kits and avoiding extra expense and installation time.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.

For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.

Less space, results in less material, bringing significantly lower costs in the process. As part of Isolation applications, our valves can be fully open or fully closed with quarter turn movement (90 Degrees) of the functioning lever or actuator. When closed, the reliable seal and disc can provide 100% leak tight downstream shutoff and low-pressure loss across the valve when opened through a streamlined, energy saving metallic disc. These types of valves can also be used to regulate flow pressure or temperature through a multi-position lockable lever or 4-20mA 3-15 psi control.

Actuated Butterfly Valves are available in both pneumatic and electric operation and can be beneficial for use in remotely accessed areas, valves that require larger torque figures to operate, timing or synchronisation and reliability. Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valves provide the quickest form of operational control for open/close functionality and are available in both double acting and spring return units with either direct/solenoid operation. Spring Return units can be set up in a fail-safe closed mode for critical lines were the Valve will return to the closed position upon the event of power failure through the loaded springs. Fail-safe open Valves are also available upon request.
