PTFE Seat Hytork Actuated Pneumatic Butterfly Valves

The complete PTFE Seat avoids any possibility of cross-contamination providing a butterfly valve that is extremely resistant to chemicals and solvents with complete insolubility to 300°C. For additional abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE also is available. The Hytork Pneumatic Actuator provides precise gear tooth mesh while extending gear life thanks to its extra large rack and pinion tooth design that promotes full tooth engagement. This product comes with a one year warranty against manufacturing defects from date of purchase. Hand polished, streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional bubble tight seal in the closed position.

Actuated Valve Testing & Calibration

All actuated valve assemblies are fully tested and calibrated in house prior to packing and shipping from our expert team of technical engineers. This means that when they arrive at site, you're immediately ready to install and get your production back up and running.

4-20mA Control Available On This Product

The BLX V100E Series is an Electro-Pneumatic control unit that allows the Actuator to incrementally adjust the Valve's position between the fully open and closed cycle. Product variants are available for spring return and double acting setups with feedback and safety settings. Ask our team today about how the V100E can help with your process requirements.

Frequent Interrogation

A PTFE Seat Hytork Actuated Pneumatic Butterfly Valve combines a high-performance butterfly valve with a PTFE seat and a Hytork pneumatic actuator, offering reliable automated flow control in corrosive and high-purity process environments.

The PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) seat provides exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals, solvents, and acids. It ensures a tight seal, low friction, and long service life even under extreme process conditions.

Hytork actuators are renowned for their rugged construction, precision engineering, and long operational life. They deliver consistent torque output, low air consumption, and can be configured for both spring return and double acting operation.

They are widely used across chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, food and beverage, and marine industries — anywhere that requires corrosion resistance and reliable pneumatic actuation.

A spring return actuator automatically returns the valve to its fail-safe position when air pressure is lost, while a double acting actuator uses air pressure to both open and close the valve, allowing faster operation.

These valves are generally rated for PN10–PN16 pressure systems and can operate in temperatures from -20°C up to +180°C, depending on the seat and disc material combination.

Yes. With the addition of a positioner or solenoid valve, Hytork actuated butterfly valves can perform on/off isolation or modulating flow control with high accuracy.

Typical construction includes a ductile iron or stainless steel body with a stainless steel or aluminium bronze disc, providing strength, durability, and corrosion resistance.

PTFE seat Hytork actuated pneumatic butterfly valves are available in a wide range of sizes from DN50 to DN600, with larger options available on request.

This assembly offers excellent chemical resistance, low maintenance, precise actuation, and fail-safe reliability, making it an ideal choice for automated process control in demanding environments.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

Wafer Pattern concentric design features a non-toxic PTFE internal seal which also partially covers the outer body of the valve for perfect sealing with counter flanges. Thus avoiding any possibility of cross-contamination and providing a butterfly valve that is extremely resistant to chemicals and solvents with complete insolubility to 300°C.

Engineered Shaft Design

The single-piece shaft design provides superior strength and stability while allowing direct mounting of actuation assemblies. It keeps the process fluid fully isolated from both the shaft and valve body, removing the need for a customised mounting kit and reducing both cost and installation time.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.

For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.

Less space, results in less material, bringing significantly lower costs in the process. As part of Isolation applications, our valves can be fully open or fully closed with quarter turn movement (90 Degrees) of the functioning lever or actuator. When closed, the reliable seal and disc can provide 100% leak tight downstream shutoff and low-pressure loss across the valve when opened through a streamlined, energy saving metallic disc. These types of valves can also be used to regulate flow pressure or temperature through a multi-position lockable lever or 4-20mA 3-15 psi control.

Actuated Butterfly Valves are available in both pneumatic and electric operation and can be beneficial for use in remotely accessed areas, valves that require larger torque figures to operate, timing or synchronisation and reliability. Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valves provide the quickest form of operational control for open/close functionality and are available in both double acting and spring return units with either direct/solenoid operation. Spring Return units can be set up in a fail-safe closed mode for critical lines were the Valve will return to the closed position upon the event of power failure through the loaded springs. Fail-safe open Valves are also available upon request.
