Lever-Gear Operated Butterfly Valves

The TTV 40WP4040F0T stainless steel PTFE lined Butterfly Valve provides a very similar level of chemical application resistance and clean line service to that of the standard rilsan coated ductile iron version. However we now see a much greater external corrosion resistance that may be seen within the harsh environments of the chemical and petrochemical industry or regular wash down routines. All units come as standard with 3.1 material certification at no additional cost. Lockable stainless steel hand levers are also available if required.

Key Features

Key features and benefits of the 40WP4040F0T Wafer Pattern Butterfly Valves.
1

Key Features

This valve is ideal for applications where the butterfly valve is exposed directly to aggressive chemicals, liquids or high temperatures. Its wide range of operating conditions makes this product suitable for industries including Pharmaceutical and Chemical Processing Plants.
2

Key Features

A Concentric design features a non-toxic PTFE internal seal which also partially covers the outer body of the valve for perfect sealing with counter flanges. Thus avoiding any possibility of cross-contamination.
3

Key Features

TTV's PTFE stainless steel butterfly valves offer reliable protection for your most demanding applications. These versatile pieces of equipment can be used both externally and internally, in environments where extreme corrosion is expected or required.

Top Notch.

All Butterfly Valves come as standard with a Top Notch Lock Plate. Adjustable at set degrees throughout the Valve travel cycle. Are your current supplies as good? We very much doubt it.

Frequent Interrogation

These valves are ideal for corrosive, hygienic, and high-purity systems such as chemical lines, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, where both durability and clean sealing are required.

Stainless steel offers structural strength, while PTFE provides complete chemical inertness, giving a valve that can handle aggressive media without contamination or deterioration.

PTFE prevents the process fluid from touching the metal body or disc. This ensures long-term corrosion protection, smooth flow, and excellent sealing, even with harsh chemicals.

A lever operator is quick to open or close and suits low-torque or frequent operation. A gear operator uses a handwheel and gearbox for easier control on larger valves or higher-torque applications.

Gear operation is preferred for larger diameters, higher pressure lines, or applications needing slower, more controlled movement, making operation easier and safer.

Yes. PTFE is non-toxic and FDA compliant, making the valves suitable for systems requiring clean, sanitary operation without risk of product contamination.

PTFE maintains integrity across a wide temperature range and remains completely insoluble up to high temperatures, supporting demanding thermal conditions depending on valve specification.

Stainless steel delivers high mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and long service life, especially in wet, corrosive, or outdoor environments.

Yes. While primarily used for isolation, PTFE-lined butterfly valves can be used for light to moderate throttling, particularly when paired with a gear operator for finer control.

PTFE’s non-stick characteristics reduce build-up and wear, meaning these valves often require minimal maintenance, typically limited to periodic external inspections.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

The wafer-style concentric layout on this butterfly valve incorporates a food-grade PTFE seal that lines the internal flow path and extends outward to form a tight, uniform seal against mating flanges. This eliminates any risk of media mixing and provides exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals and solvents, with the PTFE remaining fully stable and insoluble even at temperatures approaching 300°C.

Engineered Shaft Design

The one-piece shaft design used in these actuated butterfly valves provides excellent strength and alignment while allowing actuators to mount directly onto the valve. It keeps the process media fully separated from both the shaft and valve body, removing the need for any special mounting kits and helping reduce installation time and extra costs.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.

For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.

Less space, results in less material, bringing significantly lower costs in the process. As part of Isolation applications, our valves can be fully open or fully closed with quarter turn movement (90 Degrees) of the functioning lever or actuator. When closed, the reliable seal and disc can provide 100% leak tight downstream shutoff and low-pressure loss across the valve when opened through a streamlined, energy saving metallic disc. These types of valves can also be used to regulate flow pressure or temperature through a multi-position lockable lever or 4-20mA 3-15 psi control.

Actuated Butterfly Valves are available in both pneumatic and electric operation and can be beneficial for use in remotely accessed areas, valves that require larger torque figures to operate, timing or synchronisation and reliability. Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valves provide the quickest form of operational control for open/close functionality and are available in both double acting and spring return units with either direct/solenoid operation. Spring Return units can be set up in a fail-safe closed mode for critical lines were the Valve will return to the closed position upon the event of power failure through the loaded springs. Fail-safe open Valves are also available upon request.
